2026 Radiation Oncology Symposium

February 13, 2026

Therapeutic Radiopharmaceuticals 101:
Ensuring Safe, Confident Care Across All Settings

This half-day symposium offers a practical overview of therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals, with a focus on delivering safe and effective patient care across all clinical settings. Topics include the fundamentals of radiopharmaceutical therapies, regulatory standards, and essential safety considerations for patients, families, and staff. Participants will also review emergency preparedness measures and engage in interactive case scenarios to apply key principles in real-world situations. As radiopharmaceutical use continues to grow, clinicians should also be prepared to manage patients who may require urgent care, emergency department evaluation, or inpatient admission within the first 48 hours of their infusion, even when their presenting symptoms are unrelated to treatment.
