This episode from our Lessons in Nursing Leadership Webinar Series discusses how the Johns Hopkins Department of Nursing created and implemented a night shift advisory. council.  

     

    Learning Objectives

    • To support and share best practices through regularly scheduled meetings and newsletters
    • To identify innovation and improvement projects to address challenges or opportunities specific to night shift staff
    • To provide coordination, support, and oversight of improvement/innovation projects that are specific to night shift
    • To ensure equal opportunities for permanent night and weekend shift staff to serve on committees and workgroups
    • To empower and influence professional practice during the night shift environment
    • To provide direct input/feedback to CNO on front-line engagement and strategic initiatives as related to night shift nursing
