Immersion Program | Trauma & Emergency Nursing | April 27-May 8
This unique Clinical Immersion Program (CLIP) provides an opportunity to refine your expertise in trauma and emergency nursing. This 2-week experience includes specialty classes, observation in clinical areas, and opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration. You will leave this experience with cutting-edge information to use in advancing your career or apply the best practices of Johns Hopkins to patient care at your own institution.
The Johns Hopkins Emergency Department offers a variety of opportunities for nurses to understand the dynamics of managing critically ill patients. As a designated Level 1 Trauma Center and a regional Pediatric Trauma and Eye Trauma Center for the state of Maryland, the Johns Hopkins Department of Emergency Medicine treats more than 60,000 patients each year.
The Johns Hopkins Hospital is also a designated Stroke Center and Primary PCI Center for patients experiencing Acute Myocardial Infarction. This fast-paced and highly varied practice setting gives our nurses an immediate sense of accomplishment and exposure to every medical specialty—all while they hone skills in critical thinking, public health, and patient teaching.
*Due to the high level of interaction and instruction this experience provides, a proficiency in the english language is required.
