Johns Hopkins Evidence-Based Practice Series | 2025 Edition
Welcome to the Johns Hopkins Evidence-Based Practice Course!
Whether you're just beginning your evidence-based practice (EBP) journey or looking to strengthen your skills, this course is here to guide you. It’s based on the 5th edition of the Johns Hopkins Evidence-Based Practice Model and Guidelines, released in 2025, offering the most current strategies, tools, and insights to support evidence-based decision-making in healthcare.
The Johns Hopkins Evidence-Based Practice (JHEBP) Model is a practical, user-friendly approach designed specifically for nurses and healthcare professionals. Through nine focused modules, you’ll build a strong foundation in EBP and learn how to apply it effectively in your practice:
- Introduction to EBP
- Problems and Questions
- Evidence
- Searching and Screening
- Appraisal
- Summary and Synthesis
- Translation
- Implementation
- Building and Managing an Effective Team
To get the most out of your experience, we recommend downloading or printing the JHEBP Tools, which will be used throughout the course.
Let’s get started and turn evidence into action, one step at a time!
