EMT-CNA Bridge Course Offered by Lifeline December 16, 2017

Participants meeting the prerequisites have the opportunity to continue their education toward becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). This two part course has been designed to reduce the amount of time to complete the requirements to become a Maryland CNA, taking into account the skills, knowledge, and abilities of the Maryland EMT Basic Provider.

Class begin promptly at 10:00AM. Please arrive by 9:45 AM. After your registration is complete please print the CNA Clinical Documentation form from your confirmation email and bring to class.

Directions will be included in your confirmation email.

 

Target Audience

Prerequisites: 

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Active Maryland EMT Healthcare Provider CPR
  • Employment in good standing with The Johns Hopkins Health System, University of Maryland Medical Systems or LifeStar Response of Maryland.

For successful completion, the participant must:

1)   Attend the one-day didactic course.
2)   Pass the instructor-administered written exam.
3)   Sucessfully demonstrate the instructor-supervised competencies.
4)   Complete 40 hours of clinical time with Lifeline.
5)   Meet the MBON application requirements.
