Lois H. Neuman, PhD, RN
Dr. Neuman is a leader in nursing education. A frequent speaker on topics such as communication, coping, decision-making, self help skills, transition, and staff-family communication from the perspective of nurse as caregiver, she has presented at numerous professional conferences. Dr. Neuman is currently adjunct faculty at Montgomery College in Maryland, where she teaches Personal and Community Health and Women's Health.
Dr. Neuman is an expert on smart products and living alternatives designed for individuals so that they may retain productive, independent lifestyles. She serves as a manuscript and abstract reviewer for several professional publications and organizations. She has served as chapter President and is currently chapter Vice President of an international nursing honorary society.
Her researcher activities have included reporting significant findings on the quality of aging for the Johns Hopkins Hospital/National Institute on Aging sponsored Baltimore Longitudinal Study on Aging project. Dr. Neumann held staff and supervisory nursing positions and spent the majority of her career as a faculty member and administrator in nursing education.
