The Johns Hopkins Center for Evidence-Based Practice invites submissions for abstracts that showcase innovative approaches, practical applications, and forward-thinking strategies in evidence-based nursing practice. This conference is designed for all healthcare clincians, educators, and faculty who are passionate about turning evidence into action while shaping the future of nursing.
We welcome abstracts in the following categories:
- Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) Innovation and Application
- Education, Training, and Capacity Building
- Academic Excellence and Faculty Innovations in EBP
- Leadership and Organizational Change
- Interprofessional and Collaborative Practice
- Technology, Data, and Informatics in EBP
- Sustainability, Outcomes, and Impact
- Future Directions and Emerging Frontiers
Formatting Guidelines:
- Indicate the relevant category (see above)
- Abstracts must be original and previously unpublished
- Abstracts must be blinded and exclude all references to author names or organizational affiliations
- Word limit: 500 words
- In-text citations are required
- A reference list of three to five sources, formatted consistently (e.g., APA), must be included within the 500-word limit
- Include the following: Background, Methods/Approach, Results/Impact, and Implications for Practice
- Submissions should be formatted in [Insert Format, e.g., Word or PDF]
Abstract Submission Requirements
- Contact information must be provided for one to two authors/presenters per abstract.
- Nurse Residency EBP abstracts must also include the contact information of the Nurse Residency Program Coordinator.
- Graduate Student EBP Final Project/Capstone abstracts must also include the contact information of the Faculty Coordinator.
- All abstracts must be submitted using the designated conference template.
Selection Criteria:
- Relevance to conference theme
- Clarity and quality of writing
- Significance and innovation of the work
- Potential impact on nursing practice, education, or leadership
Selected abstracts may be invited for:
- Oral Presentations
- Poster Presentations
- Panel Discussion
